I got an opportunity to attend the fest and taste a few dishes and I must say the flavors are truly magical. The live counters over looking the waterfall, that sizzling sound of food along with the water sound makes it feels as if you are transported to your dream holiday destination. The servers dressed in funky colourful attire adds to the over all feel of the culture of Thailand.
We started off with the welcome drink –
Blue Lagoon – The gorgeous colour of the drink surely added to the beauty of surroundings. A beautiful, warm welcome with the refreshing drink was a perfect start.
After a short chit chat with the chef we headed to the live soup and starter counter
Tom Kha Soup – The flavor of Thai ginger, lemongrass and mushrooms along with creamy coconut milk mixed with vegetable broth. The soup was rich, creamy and so flavourful. Loved it.
Tao Hu Satay – Tofu grilled at the live counter topped with creamy peanut based sauce. The smoky flavor of tofu was well accompanied with creamy peanut sauce.
Som Tum Salad – Raw green papaya salad flavored with garlic, chili, lime juice and mixed with cherry tomato and roasted peanut. The freshness of ingredients, the crunchiness of peanuts made this salad delicious.
Mains –
Gaeng Kiew Wan Pak – The Thai green curry prepared with coconut milk was rich and creamy. The chunk of vegetables made it a good accompaniment with rice.
Thai Pad See Ew – Stir fried Thai rice noodles mixed with leafy vegetables and bok choy prepared in dark soy-based sauce. The preparation tasted so fresh and mixed of flavors. Liked it.
