Tathya Restaurant Pune
The Mills is bang opposite to the  Railway station, on a  property renovated and turned into a Recreational centre. With many upcoming restaurants in the area, I liked the concept of a fine dine Family restaurant on such premises which is rare to find these days.
Tathya Restaurant Pune Outdoor Seating
The place is huge with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The interiors are beautifully done with the bar at one corner and wall arts, lights and hangings to make this place look even prettier. The tables are arranged in a way for everyone to get privacy and enjoy their meals with family and friends.
I always am a fan of outdoor seating with a bit of greenery. The centre part with the coloured small plants gives the place refreshing aura. The screen located on the top for people to enjoy IPL(currently) while dining.
The staff is well trained and gives an impeccable service. The menu is huge to try a variety of dishes both in Veg and Non-Veg. This place serves Indian cuisine with varieties of Tandoori starters and other Appetisers, varieties of breads from different regions of India, a huge variety in gravies, curries and lentils and desserts here are to die for.
We started with the mocktails -
Watermelon Mojito - A cool refreshing drink with balanced sweetness and a kick of mint for the added freshness.
Chatni Fizz - The blend of cucumber with lemon, mint and coriander. Refreshing and light drink, a perfect drink during summers.
Starters -
I never miss a chance to try Soya Chaap whenever I spot that in the menu.
Soya Chaap
Peshavari Soya Chaap - Perfectly cooked soya chaap with mild flavours as requested, prepared in a clay oven to give the smoky flavour. The rustic, earthy flavour well blended with soft soya chaap was a perfect delight and a wonderful start. Served along with mint chutney. These were one of the best soya chaaps I have tried in Pune.
Rumali Roti, Masala Papad
Karari Rumali Roti - Huge dome shape Rumali roti topped with finely chopped onions and tomatoes and finished with nylon sev. One of the best starters to start with while sipping on your drink and chitchatting with family and having a wonderful time.
Mains -
While the huge spread in mains is confusing what to order and what to leave. This place has a lot to offer for every kind of palate. While my husband likes his gravies a bit on a milder and sweet side, I like mine to be rich and mildly spiced.
We decided to leave the choice of mains in the Chef. The chef was humble enough to take our request into consideration and served us a variety of lip-smacking food.
Main Course
Khubani Khushkhus - Soft koftas prepared with paneer and potato filled with khubani and khuskhus. The white and creamy gravy is on a sweeter side.
Paneer Khajana - Soft, melt in mouth paneer pieces stuffed with greens and spices dunked into rich and thick tomato based gravy. This was my personal favorite.
Hara Pyaaz Mushroom - I am a huge mushroom lover and love it in any form. Haven't tried anything such before and never even heard of it. The spring onions gave a nice twist and flavour to this dish. The mix if mushroom and peas cooked along with spring onion was delicious.
Sheermaal - Soft, laccha paratha prepared with saffron was a perfect bread to devour with delicious gravies. Absolutely loved the texture of bread.
Roghni Naan - Regular naan topped with red chilli to give an added flavour to the bread. This was my personal favorite and this made my meals absolutely delish.
Desserts -
Having stuffed ourselves with delicious meals we had a high hope with desserts. Who needs space for dessert in stomach anyways. All it needs the heart to enjoy.
Moong Dal Halwa - My favourite Indian dessert, kept up to my expectations. Loved every bit of it. Ghee laden moong Dal Halwa cooked to perfection and gave us a perfect ending to the meal.
Kulfi Falooda
Kulfi Falooda - An absolute must-have summer dessert. Delicious kulfi pieces dunked in rabri Falooda.
Dine Delicious
Overall Experience -
This place serves amazing Indian food from start to end. It's difficult to choose what to have. It surely would need multiple visits to enjoy the full menu. The ambience is peaceful with a perfect family environment to enjoy the meals and have wonderful family time together. Definitely coming back to this place for more.
