K- Factory, Baner
>
The classic and rustic ambience, smiling staff, good food and drinks. Do you think anything is left out for you to not visit this place? Not convinced yet? Don’t be. Just go ahead and read my experience and visit the place to have one for yourself.
The place situated on the main street of Baner, gives an illusion of small and beautiful place inside. As you enter it’s a huge place with dim lightning with red and wooden interiors, giving a classic feel. Whereas, the upper floor has a bar and rustic interiors throwing the party vibes.
The place serves multicuisine and has a huge bar menu giving various options to choose from. This place has it all. Any place specializes in some dishes and others are usually just moderate, every single dish that I tried here was simply delicious.
To start off with mocktails we tried –
Cucumber Mint – Cucumber syrup with mint and a hint of lime made a kick start to our tasting. Perfectly balanced sweetness and sourness with the freshness of cucumber. Most humble and perfect drink.
Watermelon Basil – As they say, you taste with your eyes first. Simple yet gorgeous looking drink with the freshness and sweetness of watermelon with the punch of basil was perfect blend.
Pomegranate juice with Grenadine – Pomegranate juice with grenadine syrup and sprite. The freshness of pomegranate and sweet and tangy taste of grenadine with sprite gave a perfect taste and balanced flavours.
Dark Chocolate Smoothie – Balanced on sweetness with perfect consistency. Loved the flavours.
After have refreshing drinks it was time for salads and starters –
Factory Special – Yes, indeed healthy can be delicious too. Don’t believe it, just taste it. Mix of French beans, tomatoes, green lettuce, roasted bell peppers with herb crème and balsamic reduction.
The freshly cut vegetables with rich, creamy and velvety texture of herb crème with tanginess and sweetness of balsamic reduction.
This dish is sure to make your taste buds go gaga.
Hasselback Mushrooms – If you are a mushroom lover too, this is a must have. The creaminess of white sauce and juiciness of mushrooms makes this dish a way to heaven.
Tandoori Roast Flat Bread – Freshly rolled bread, roasted in tandoor topped with cottage cheese, mixed peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomato and mozzarella.
The freshness of veggies and goodness of cheese makes this a must have.
Mains -
Pan-Fried Cottage Cheese - It’s a wholesome meal with pan fried crisp yet soft cottage cheese topped with paprika sauce, served with spaghetti aglio olio and stir-fried vegetables.
The mix of creaminess and tanginess of sauce with melt in mouth paneer simply tasted divine. Spaghetti very well complimented the dish alongside with fresh stir-fried veggies.
Mushroom & Lentil Tonak – Tonak, the Goan dish made with black eyed beans in Konkani spices served along with pao traditionally. The tonak curry served here had mushrooms along with lentils. The spices were balanced and were on point. The steamed rice served along complimented the dish.
Cottage Cheese Tikka Lasagna - Being not a huge fan of fusion I did not like the lasagna most. Small bits of well marinated cottage cheese in tandoori spices, cooked to perfection and layered between lasagna sheets. Though not the best lasagna I have ever had but the taste was balanced.
After all that delicious and yummilicious food the best on table was yet to arrive. Yes, it was time for desserts –
Tiramisu – The most popular coffee-flavored Italian dessert, won my heart. The best tiramisu I have ever had. The flavor of coffee with richness and creaminess of mascarpone cheese.
Words and pictures won’t do justice to this delicacy. It’s a taste that can never be forgotten.
Pan Gulkand Icecream – The flavor of pan was little less as per my liking.
